Who are we?
Central Baptist Church has been a presence in the city of Palmy for more than 125 years, and we have been blessed with a rich history of seeing God at work.
We are proud to be a diverse community, with people of all ages and a wide range of cultures, striving together to grow deeper in our relationships with God and each other.
Our mission statement is called together to grow and go.
We believe that, as followers of Jesus, we are called to belong to a local church, and that God has brought each of us together at CB for a reason. We seek to foster healthy & strong relationships within our church whānau, which looks like supporting each other and connecting across all ages and cultures.
We aspire to be continually growing in our faith, always seeking to learn more about God and fall more in love with Him. We provide opportunities for you to engage and take an active role in your spiritual development through courses, studies, and CB Connect groups.
We believe that God invites us to go out into the world and join Him in His mission. We aim to be good neighbours to those around us in all the circles of our lives, whether at work, school or across the fence. We also make an effort to provide opportunities to serve those outside the church through coordinated efforts.
